Aston Martin Vantage.
Launch films for the new Aston Martin Vantage, with Superunion. A born predator, told through CGI environments.

The challenge
(01)
The new Vantage launched as a born predator. Superunion's moodboards distilled the car's character into animal behaviour, snake coils writhing, sharks gliding through shoals, a tiger's fur rising, a cobra's hypnotic stare, a lion pouncing.
Each mood was a trait of the car, and each had to become an environment the real car could live in, abstract and beautiful rather than literal.

The environments
(02)
The work started with nature footage, reduced to its simplest motion before anything was built. Mainframe supervised the VFX on the car shoot, then recreated the Vantage in CG so reflections of each environment sit on the real body and the car feels embedded in the scene. Camera moves captured on set were speed ramped into calm moments and bursts of action.

The craft
(03)
An audio bed drawn from the animal world completes the character, raw, animalistic and distinctly Vantage. A technical breakdown shows how the environments and the car come together.
